    WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU NEED TROUBLESHOOTING HELP?

    1. Copy down the error message if at all possible. At least write it down. Using print screen is very helpful.

    2. Remember and/or record what you were doing at the time and any issues leading up to the problem.

    3. Yes, in many cases, rebooting the computer does take care of quite a few issues.


    POPULAR SOLUTIONS TO TRY BEFORE CALLING:

    1. Are there any dialog boxes that require an answer that may be hidden behind your current window? ALT-TAB will tab you through all open windows.

    2. Try rebooting the computer and record any additional messages that may appear in this process. MANY times rebooting the computer is all that is needed.

    3. Are all cables connected securely?

    4. Verify all power sources including if the battery needs charged on a laptop.

    5. If it is a printer, try turning it off and then back on and resend the job.
